Man Shot And Killed On Brooklyn Street Identified, Police Say

NEW YORK CITY — An 18-year-old man was shot and killed in Brooklyn over the weekend has been identified, police announced.

The incident happened in front of 812 New Jersey Avenue around 11 p.m., police said.

Officers found Zanir Childs with a gunshot wound to the torso and an 18-year-old woman who was shot in the right arm.

Childs was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead. The woman was taken to the same hospital and is listed in stable condition.
