Man Slashed Inside NYC Subway Train, No Arrests Made Yet: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — A 31-year-old man was slashed in the face as he sat inside a New York City subway train last Sunday, police said.

The incident happened around 8:40 a.m. onboard a 4 line train car near the Utica Avenue and Eastern Parkway station.

The 31-year-old man was sitting on the train with his eyes closed when the suspect came up to him and slashed him in the face with an unknown object, police said.
The suspect then fled the train car on foot.

The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition, police said.
The suspect is described as being approximately 25 to 35 years of age, 6'0" tall, and was last seen wearing a brown hooded jacket, black pants and red and black sneakers.
No arrests have been made as of Tuesday afternoon. An investigation remains ongoing.
