Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:

  1. A teenager has gone missing near the border of Bed-Stuy and Bushwick. Emily Herrera, 18, was last seen at her Bushwick Avenue home near Kossuth Place at approximately 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. She stands around 5 feet, 1 inch tall, and was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and blue-and-white sneakers. (Patch)
  2. An elderly man was stabbed to death by his younger roommate during an argument over the frequent visits of her boyfriend. Freddy Quevedo, 73, was involved in the dispute with 29-year-old Paola Jimenez on Friday night, before he was stabbed multiple times in the head, shoulders, arms, and neck. The two had been living together in Flatbush, and was allegedly growing annoyed by the frequent visits of the young woman's boyfriend, who was not present at the time. (Yahoo News)
  3. A large fire in Sunset Park left one person injured on Monday morning. The blaze broke out on the first floor of 5401 Seventh Ave., and quickly spread to the fourth floor. The fire was slowly being put under control by 8:10 a.m. (Patch)
