NYC Man Fatally Stabs Mother 13 Times Inside Apartment: Police

BROOKLYN, NY — A man has been charged with murder after he allegedly stabbed his 45-year-old mother to death inside her Brooklyn home over the weekend.
Weverton Lino, 29, was arraigned on second degree murder and weapons charges on Sunday.
The incident happened inside E. 92nd St. in East Flatbush on Friday, police said.

Lino and his 45-year-old mother were in the midst of an argument before the deadly stabbing
Lino stabbed his mother, Roselene Oliveira, 13 times with a kitchen knife in the hallway outside her apartment,according to the New York Daily News.

The 45-year-old mother was transported to Brookdale University Hospital and was later pronounced dead, police said.
Lino was arrested once police officers arrived at the scene and tased him after he refused to drop his weapon, according to the report and NYPD body-worn camera footage.
The suspect is being held in jail without bail.
