BROOKLYN, NY — A Brooklyn Target in Flatbush has banned kids under 18 from shopping at the store without an adult due to numerous fights and delinquent behavior at the store, according to a report.

The Target, located in the Triangle Junction mall, began putting security guards at its front doors and carding anyone who doesn't look over the age of 18, according to a New York Post report.

“All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at this Target store,” a sign read by the store's front doors.

The ban was put into place after groups of teens have started fights and have been loitering in the store and around the mall.

Kids who sneak into the store and are caught will be escorted out of the store, according to the report.

“We try to make sure everybody doesn’t have a hangout spot after school,” a guard told the Post.

Last month, a Brooklyn McDonald's banned anybody under 20 from entering without a parent, Patch previously reported.

The new rule comes after the McDonald's in Flatbush was victimized by groups of teenagers who wreaked havoc at the location and attacked a security guard.

Police have been called to the location 29 times so far this year.

The Target store is down the block from the McDonald’s location.
