Brooklyn Cop Arrested On Theft Charges Amid Divorce: NYPD

SUNSET PARK, NY — An off-duty NYPD Officer was arrested Friday in Brooklyn after his wife accused him of taking her keys and endangering their child, court records show.

Matthew Arguinzoni, a six-year veteran of the department, on Saturday pleaded not guilty to petit larceny and child endangerment charges, court records show.

The 30-year-old tried to take his wife's keys as she was holding her two-year-old child, according to a complaint filed in Kings County Friday.

Arguinzoni, most recently assigned to Brooklyn's housing bureau, was arrested Friday about 6:30 p.m. in Brooklyn's 72nd Precinct, which covers Sunset Park and Windsor Terrace.

Court records show Arguinzoni and his wife have been entangled in a divorce since August.

He's expected back in court in November.
