BROWNSVILLE, NY — An NYPD employee accused of punching a stranger at a Brownsville apartment was arrested Wednesday, police said.

NYPD Community Assistant Janiqua Clarke, 39, faces assault charges related to the scuffle near Van Sinderin and Sutter avenues about 3:25 p.m., according to the NYPD.

Police say Clarke pulled a 39-year-old woman's hair and punched her, landing her in an area hospital.
