Woman Fatally Stabbed Found In Prospect Park: NYPD, Report

PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS, NY — A woman fatally stabbed in the head was found in Prospect Park Tuesday morning, according to police and reports.

The woman's body was discovered near the Drummer's Grove on Ocean Avenue and Park Avenue about 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, according to the NYPD and New York Daily News.

A knife was recovered nearby, police told the Daily News.

The woman, who lived in a homeless encampment nearby, was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

Police continued to investigate the death Wednesday, and the Medical Examiner would determine the woman's cause of death.

A park-goer discovered the body and called the cops, according to the News.
