Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:
- A man was killed on Sunday evening when he was walking between two subway cars and slipped and fell onto the tracks. The unidentified man was going between to F train cars in Park Slope near the Seventh Avenue subway station. First responders rushed to the location, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. (Patch)
- In the span of about one hour, three separate crime sprees left a handful of victims with gunshot and stab wounds. At about 3:15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, multiple suspects fled after a shooting on Pitkin Avenue in East New York. Roughly a dozen blocks away one hour later, a 29-year-old man was shot by a suspect allegedly known by the victim. In Crown Heights at about 4 p.m., officers were investigating a shooting at an Indian restaurant. (NBC New York)
- Several trains were delayed across the city during rush hour on Monday morning, disrupting many morning commutes. Both F and G train were running through Brooklyn with "extensive delays" according to the MTA. The service issues were caused by a loss of power that caused signal problems at Church Avenue.
