Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:

  1. A vacant lot in Park Slope could soon become a six-story residential building. The Seventh Avenue lot between 14th and 15th streets has been vacant for over 10 years. Plans submitted to the city last week outline a 60-foot building on the 2,400-square-foot lot. (Patch)
  2. A deadly shooting at a Brooklyn bodega left two people dead and one injured on Monday night. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the Spring Creek Deli in East New York. One suspect has been taken into custody while an 18-year-old victim remains in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital. (CBS New York)
  3. A man died after crashing his moped into a parked car in Bed-Stuy. The 25 year old was riding east on Greene Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle, slamming into the Toyota SUV. The Bushwick resident was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital. (Yahoo News)
  4. A scaffolding firm has been charged with a 2019 incident that left a woman with brain injuries. Three people were injured after high winds sent scaffolding crashing through a glass atrium at the Parlour Condominiums. Haley Keating, 32, suffered severe brain damage and seizures as a result of the accident. (The Real Deal)
