Person Struck In Brooklyn By L Train: MTA

A man walking between cars fell to the L train tracks Friday afternoon, injuring his head and foot, police said.

WILLIAMSBURG, NY — A person was struck by an L train near the Bedford Avenue station Friday afternoon, authorities said.

A 31-year-old man was walking between cars about 1:10 p.m. on a southbound L train when he fell and was struck by the train, according to the NYPD.

He was rushed to an area hospital with cuts to his head and foot but he was likely to live, police said.

L train service was initially suspended in both directions between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues and 8th Avenue.

L trains were running again with severe delays in both directions by about 2:35 p.m.
