Robbers Asked Teen If He Was Arab Before BK Mugging: NYPD, Report
A 15-year-old mugged in East New York was targeted because of his ethnicity, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A teenager mugged in Brooklyn Tuesday was targeted for his ethnicity, cops said said.
One of the four would-be robbers asked the teen if he was Arab before following him near Pennsylvania and Sutter Avenues Tuesday about 8:15 p.m., according to police and the New York Daily News.
The group then demanded the 15-year-old empty his pockets, but ran away empty-handed, according to the NYPD and Daily News.
