Here are the top three stories in Brooklyn today:

  1. This is the "greenest" block in the borough. Lincoln Place has won the title from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden twice now. Two next-door neighbors and friends worked together to start the group PLANT, which is how the neighborhood became so green. Click the link to read the full story. (The Independent)
  2. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand came to town on Tuesday night to hear Brooklynites' concerns. The citizens spoke out about their concerns about affordable housing, support for migrants, education, and healthcare. The meeting included about 75 people at LIU Brooklyn's Kimball Auditorium.   3. A Pennsylvania teenage girl was found in Brooklyn after an amber alert was issued. The girl, from Redding, Pennsylvania, was abducted by a 47-year-old man around 2:00 a.m. After the amber alert was issued, the man and teen were found in Brooklyn. According to her parents, the man and girl had been "dating" for a few months. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
