Severed Body Parts Found In Trash Bag Outside NYC Apartment Building: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — A man's head and torso were found in a trash bag outside an apartment building in Brooklyn on Friday, police said.

The discovery was made in front of 557 East 21st St. around 9:15 a.m., police said.

Additional incident details have not been released yet.

The city's medical examiner will determine the official cause of death and work to possibly identify the remains.

An investigation remains ongoing.
