Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:

  1. A house fire at East 9th Street in Midwood broke out at around 4 a.m. early on Wednesday, injuring several people and causing part of the building to collapse. Firefighters arrived at the house and were reportedly impeded by "heavy clutter conditions" on the first floor of the house. A civilian was removed from the fire and rushed to the hospital, while five firefighters were injured as well. (WPIX 11 New York)
  2. A group of about seven men are wanted for attacking a 14-year-old boy in a Brooklyn train station. On Monday, March 14, at the Van Siclen Avenue subway station in East New York, the victim was punched on his head and body, leaving him with swelling and bruising. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). (WABC-TV)
  3. Four people, including two police officers, were rushed to the hospital at about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday after a police cruiser was T-boned at a Bedford-Stuyvesant intersection. The NYPD said that their car had its lights on when the Mercedes ran through the intersection. The driver of the Mercedes was arrested for a DWI. (CBS New York)
