Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:
- Police arrested a man accused of two recent subway attacks that left two female victims with injuries. 26-year-old New Lots resident Denzel Hodge attacked a 20-year-old woman on Feb. 19, and a 77-year-old woman on March 1 in two seemingly random attacks. Hodge will be charged with counts of assault and menacing, and additional counts of criminal possession of a weapon and harassment. (AMNY)
- An e-bike rider was arrested on drug charges after he struck two women while they were crossing a busy Bensonhurst intersection. 50-year-old Justin Giaquinto was taken into custody following the incident, where the police found him in possession of a controlled substance. Both victims were treated for their injuries, one on whom was listed in critical condition with head trauma. (AMNY)
- A good Samaritan saved a 52-year-old man who fell on the tracks at the Fourth Avenue/Ninth Street subway station on Wednesday. The man was able to roll the victim of the fall out of harms way and narrowly avoided a train himself when he jumped back onto the platform.
