Woman Arrested After Stabbing Man 4 Times During Attempted Robbery: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — A woman has been arrested and charged after allegedly stabbing a man four times during an attempted robbery in Brooklyn close to two weeks ago, police announced.

Shivaun Charles, 45, of Brooklyn, was charged with two counts of robbery in connection with the Aug. 16 incident near Belmont and George Avenues.

Charles is accused of approached a 40-year-old man and stabbed him four times before trying to take money out of his pockets.

Charles then fled the scene in a black SUV, police said. The 45-year-old woman was taken into custody on Thursday.

The man was taken to a local hospital after the stabbing. It is not known at this time if he has been released.
