BROOKLYN, NY — Authorities are looking for a masked gunman who fired multiple shots at a 16-year-old boy shopping inside a Brooklyn bodega.

Police said the teenager was inside 24/7 Eats Deli & Grill at Sutter Ave. and Crystal St. in East New York around 9:25 p.m. on Jan. 5 when the shooter entered the store.

Witnesses say the gunman approached the victim on foot before firing off multiple shots, hitting the teenager multiple times. The suspect then fled north on Crystal St. in a black Honda Accord, leaving the wounded teen behind.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

The victim was brought to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition, a police spokesperson said.

It was unclear whether the victim and suspect knew each other. Police have not identified the suspect, and the victim's name has not been released.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing, police said.
