Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:
- A teenager is clinging to life after she was shot in the head in the lobby of a Crown Heights apartment building. Police found the 18-year-old woman, and she was transported to Kings County Hospital in critical condition. The shooting occurred shortly before 3 a.m. on Wednesday morning, and the case remains under investigation. (NBC New York)
- A fire in a historic Bed-Stuy high school building left two people injured on Tuesday night. At approximately 7:20 p.m., the fire broke out on the fourth floor of the 475 Nostrand Ave. building, and was under control shortly after 8 p.m. The two people sustained only minor injuries and were treated at a nearby hospital. - DoorDash announced the opening of a "ghost kitchen" in Downtown Brooklyn. Nimbus is a female-founded ghost kitchen concept and will bring local restaurants along with national chains to the space. Partner restaurants include Kings Co Imperial, Pies 'n' Thighs, Little Caesar's Pizza, and DomoDomo. (Thrillist)
