Teen, Mom, Dog Found Dead In Brooklyn Apartment: NYPD, Report

The teenaged girl, her mother and pet dog were found Monday in their East Flatbush apartment, police said.

FLATBUSH, NY — A mother, her teenage daughter and a dog were found dead in their Flatbush apartment Monday, according to police and reports.

The two women, 14 and 37, were found unconscious with stab wounds Monday in an apartment building on New York Avenue near Avenue D about 2:35 p.m., according to the NYPD and New York Daily News.

The dog had a plastic bag over its head and was lying next to the teen, according to the Daily News.

A neighbor believes he heard the women screaming Friday, the Daily News reports. Police knocked on the door but received no answer and left, the News reports.

A concerned male relative also visited the apartment before police arrived Monday to knock down the door, the Daily News reported.

Police said Monday's visit was a wellness check.

No arrests were had been Tuesday and the investigation was ongoing, police said.
