Tesla Driver Plows Into Cyclist In Deadly Brooklyn Hit-And-Run
Police say the 32-year-old woman was riding west on Meserole St. in East Williamsburg around 2:30 a.m. when she was struck.

BROOKLYN, NY — A Tesla driver slammed into a 32-year-old woman riding her bike through Williamsburg early Saturday — then sped off, leaving her to die in the street, police said.
Officers responded around 2:30 a.m. to a crash at Meserole and Leonard streets, where a blue Tesla had slammed into 32-year-old Alexandra Huggins as she rode west on her bike, police said.
First responders said they found Huggins sprawled on the pavement with severe injuries. She was rushed to Woodhull Hospital by EMS but died shortly after, police added.

Huggins was biking along Leonard Street when the Tesla hit her, according to police. The driver fled westbound on Meserole Street and hasn’t been seen since. Leonard Street has a painted bike lane — but no physical barriers to protect cyclists.
As of Monday morning, no arrests have been made. The NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad is continuing to investigate.
