Toddler Killed In Brooklyn, Babysitter’s Stepson Charged: Report
Three-year-old Denim Brown was found unresponsive inside his home Sunday night, police said. He later died at an area hospital.
BROOKLYN, NY - A Brooklyn man has been charged in the death of a three-year-old whose babysitter was the man’s stepmother, according to police and media reports.
Kevin James, 29, of New York Ave. in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, was charged Monday with murder, assault and related charges, police said.
Officers responded to James’ home just before 9:45 p.m. Sunday, where they discovered three-year-old Denim Brown unconscious and unresponsive inside the home, police said. Brown lived at the same home.

Medics rushed Brown to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the toddler’s cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing.
