Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:
- Two people were killed after being struck by a 3 train in Brooklyn on Wednesday morning. At approximately 7:07 a.m. at the Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road station in Brownsville, the two victims were walking on the tracks when they were struck by the Manhattan-bound train. Officers from the 73rd precinct rushed to the scene, but both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. (AMNY)
- An elderly man was slashed in the face in an unprovoked attack early on Tuesday morning. The victim was walking near Beverley Road and E. 16th Street in Flatbush when he was ambushed from behind. The NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspect and has the public's help in identifying the attacker. (Yahoo News)
- A pair of men disguised as UPS workers robbed a pregnant woman in her Flatbush home on Tuesday afternoon. The woman was expecting a delivery to her East 18th Street apartment when the attackers forced their way in, stealing jewelry and cash while they held the victim at gunpoint. The victim was recovering following the incident but is expected to be OK, while the suspects remain at large. (NBC New York)
