- On Aug. 17, Uber driver Fritz Sam stopped his cab, ran into a burning Brooklyn brownstone, and rescued two people from the flames. The father of two said, "When I thought there might me someone inside that building, there was something in me that couldn't hold back and I just had to go inside." No one was injured and firefighters arrived to control the fire. (Local 12 News)
- Yesterday, Aug. 19, the NYPD released an image of a suspect in the Aug. 13 attack of a 22-year-old, who was repeatedly stabbed while surrounded by five people, at 1505 Riegalman Boardwalk West. The victim was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital and NYPD said he is in stable condition. - Broadway Forever, a series where four Broadway stars perform free pop-up concerts in NYC, is almost here! The pop-up concert will be in Brooklyn on Friday, Aug. 26, at 3:30 p.m. at Albee Square in Downtown Brooklyn. (Time Out)
