Woman Killed, 2 Others Injured After Driver Reverses SUV Onto Sidewalk: Police
The driver may have suffered a medical episode, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — An 89-year-old woman was killed, and two other pedestrians were injured after a driver jumped a curb in Brooklyn after suffering an apparent medical episode on Wednesday.
The incident happened near 535 Neptune Ave. in Coney Island around 12:50 p.m.
According to police, an 86-year-old man was driving a red Chrysler Town & Country when he suffered the medical episode, backing into the three people on the sidewalk.

The 89-year-old woman was taken to NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn where she later pronounced dead, police said.
A 75-year-old woman and a 43-year-old woman were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

The 86-year-old driver was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.
The woman who was killed in the incident has not been identified yet. No arrests have been made.
An investigation remains ongoing.
