Woman Who Slapped Pro-Palestinian Protester Arrested In BK: NYPD
The woman smacked a 15-year-old before grabbing a man's phone and chucking it into the East River, according to police.

BROOKLYN, NY — A woman accused of slapping a young pro-Palestinian protester on the Brooklyn Bridge was arrested, police said Wednesday.
Eden Atias, 31, of Brooklyn, now faces charges including aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child related to the Oct. 28 attack caught on video, according to the NYPD.
Atias can be seen on video smacking a 31-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy during a pro-Palestine rally that temporarily shut down the bridge, according to police.

Atias snatched a man's phone and chucked it in the water — and now she faces a grand larceny charge, police said.
"You deserve death," Atias shouts at the person filming, as a frustrated group tries to stop her. "I'm gonna pee on you if I could."

Brooklyn has seen a number of similar hate crimes since Oct. 7. On Friday, a woman lobbed a hot coffee at a dad wearing a keffiyeh, a Palestinian scarf, with his son.
"You and your son are terrorists," she told them, according to the New York Daily News.
And in late October, two men were accused of shouting anti-Palestinian and anti-Muslim remarks before attacking an Egyptian teen.
