CARROLL GARDENS, BROOKLYN — Curious about solar power?

Here Comes Solar, a local non-profit working to spread solar energy in Brooklyn, is hosting a free information session Wednesday, June 29 in Carroll Gardens.

The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. at 201 Columbia Street #A. Here Comes Solar is asking people to RSVP if they'd like to attend.

A variety of regulations and environmental conditions impact where panels can be placed on roofs. Here Comes Solar helps to evaluate whether a solar array is worth the effort, and then works with homeowners to set up solar systems.

Community Board 6 members also have the option of hooking their power up to shared community solar arrays, which Here Comes Solar can also assist with.
