Three Men Shot in Red Hook Over The Weekend
Three men in their early 20s were shot in Red Hook over the weekend, according to the authorities. On Saturday, July 7, at 3:40 a.m., police responded to a call regarding an incident on Richards Street between King and Walcott Streets. At least one was wounded in the abdomen. The case is still under investigation.

Three Local Businesses Targeted By Burglars
 Trattoria on Columbia Street was the victim of a burglary on Sunday, July 8 at 4:30 a.m. when an unknown individual broke through front door, pushing the latch, and took $200 in cash, police said. Video cameras caught the intruder on tape, however, and the case is still undergoing investigation.

Recently opened sweets boutique  was also burglarized at some point between Tuesday, July 3 at 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5. Video cameras spotted an unknown person entering the establishment through the front door, and removing a MacBook Pro as well as $900 in cash. The total sum of items stolen is valued at $3000, cops said.
 located at 230 Court Street was also targeted over the July 4th holiday between 10:00 pm. that evening and 8:00 a.m. the following morning. An unknown individual broke into the office by kicking in the door, but no property was removed from inside of buillding, police said. A canvas was conducted upon report of the attempted burglary, including interviews with two witnesses who did not see anything. Police are currently reviewing video taken at the scene and consider the case still under investigation.
Bush Deli Baited By Fake Cleaning Man
According to police reports, Bush Deli on Clinton Street at 4th Place was the victim of a bizarre manipulation on Tuesday, July 3. At approximately 10:40 a.m. the cashier received a call from a male stating he was the landlord. The man on the phone instructed that he was sending someone over to clean the building with a machine but that he needed the business to pay the worker and they would be reimbursed the following day. After the call ended, an unknown man entered the store with a receipt for $350, took cash from the attendant and left the scene. No cleaning services were performed and the landlord does not know anything about the call, said police.
Bike Stolen from Smith Street
A bike was stolen from the corner of Smith and Union Streets on Sunday, July 8. The owner told police that he chained up his bicycle at 9 p.m. that evening. Upon returning to it at 10:45 p.m, however, the chain had been cut and his ride removed. The model is a Trek Bicycle, part hybrid, serial #3500 and worth approximately $350. The victim is a male, 45. No further description of the bike was provided.
