Commack Lax Standout Commits to Salve Regina
Senior William Sampson will take his game to Regina Salve University.

Commack lacrosse player William Sampson has made a committment to play for Salve Regina University this week, according to a lilacrossenews.com report.
According to the report, attending the Rhode Island school's lacrosse camp and it's high academic standards led the senior goalie to sign on.
“I liked the school because of its size. I prefer a school where I can know everyone," Sampson told the local lacrosse website. "I liked the academic level that the school requires and Coach [Pat] Cooney informing me that no student of his has had to be suspended for academic reasons. That was a big one for me and my parents when deciding the best place for me.”
