Give Kids Hope 2nd Annual Chinese Auction
Give the gift of hope to a child battling cancer during a Chinese auction June 7 at 51 Juniper Avenue in Smithtown. Door opens at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5 and includes cake, coffee and 20 raffle tickets. Children younger than 12 are free.

Save Long Island Presents: The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America and Common Core Education
Learn what common core curriculum is and find out the plan that is being implemented in our public schools across the nation today. On June 5 at 6 p.m., audience members will listen to an interview with Charlotte Iserbyt, author of the book "The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America" at South Huntington Public Library, 145 Pidgeon Hill Road, Huntington Station. The interview is titled "The Miseducation of America."
