Week in Review: Suspects Charged in Home Burglaries

Take a look back at some of the top stories from the past week.

Three people were arrested and charged with second degree burglary. Police say they are responsible for several home burglaries in Commack.  

The Huntington Zoning board of Appeals will hear opinions regarding a proposed 7-Eleven at the corner of Commack Road and Genesee Drive. Some residents have already voiced their opposition to another convenience store location. 

 With no need to spend time behind the plows, Smithtown Town Highway department crews have been able to focus their efforts on catching up with cleanup from 2011 -.

Courtney Galiano, an alumnus of "So You Think You Can Dance All-Stars," "Shake it Up" and "Glee Live in 3D" will be bringing The Beat, an event featuring two-days of dance classes with celebrates to the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Hauppauge from Jan. 21 to Jan. 22.

The Commack School District is in the process of constructing a Sept. 11 memorial at Commack High School, which will include a piece of steel from the fallen World Trade center buildings.
