Kicking off the program were the North Babylon students, directed by Christina Henderson, who sang songs from their upcoming concert repertoire at Carnegie Hall on April 16, including Randall Thompson’s “Alleluia” and “Water Night” by Eric Whitaker. Next up to perform were the Sweet Adelines, Central Islip’s all-female barbershop choir directed by Theresa O’Connor, who sang the jazz standard “Please Don’t Talk About Me When I’m Gone” and other selections.
Closing out the concert was the John Anthony-directed Central Islip choir, whose four selections also included Eric Whitaker’s “Water Night,” as well as “Love Psalm” by Darmon Meter.
