North Babylon Students Honored For Musical Talent
Thirty-five Robert Moses Middle School students were inducted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society.
NORTH BABYLON, NY — On April 2, North Babylon School District inducted 35 students from Robert Moses Middle School into the junior chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society (Tri-M), an international music honor society.
Community members and school staff attended the ceremony at North Babylon High School auditorium where the students were honored onstage. Chapter advisers Jared Glazer and Carolyn Rzewinksi assisted with the event and chapter president Naima Frederique led the group in reciting the membership pledge.
According to a press release, the honor society is “designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments, and service activities, and to inspire other students to excel at music and leadership.”

To qualify, students must be recommended by a maintain a high grade average in music classes as well as an above average GPA overall. In addition, inductees must receive teacher recommendations, engage in service activities, and be enrolled in a school music program.
Newly inducted members include: Keysell Aguilar, Luca Badini, Maleah Bernard, Aidan Burshtein, Fallon Burton, Emma Cohetero, Ella Edwards, Joshua Emerick, Naima Frederique, Jake Furman, Selda Goz, Nicholas Guido. Kiara Hannan, Melanie Holcombre, Lauren Iudica, Josephine Karwoski, Madison Kaspshak, Avery Kilano, Michael Mazur Jr., Christina McNally, Layla Moncayo, Onyeka Ndika, Samantha Oliva, Lyla Principe, Alexa Ramon, Juliet Ramon, Zachariah Registre, Audrey Romard, Emma Rooney, Milani Russell, Philip Russo, Vincent Russo, Matthew Steiner, Leah Vanel, and Mackenzie Vosper.
