Suffolk County Police arrested a Lindenhurst teen after he threatened to shoot people at school while chatting online, police say.
WEST BABYLON, NY — A Lindenhurst teen has been arrested after making threats of mass harm on Wednesday, Suffolk County police said.
A 911 caller reported that a 15-year-old male student who attends Brennan High School in West Babylon threatened to shoot people at school while chatting online with other students, police said.
Police said the threat was not made during school hours.

Police arrested the teen and charged him with making a threat of mass harm, a misdemeanor, police said.
He was released to his family and is slated to be arraigned at Suffolk County Family Court at a later date.
