Watch: Officer Pritchard Laid to Rest in Lindenhurst

Hundreds of NYPD, Suffolk County Police in attendance at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

A blessing was held for New York Police Department Officer Joseph Pritchard, a North Babylon resident, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Lindenhurst on Friday morning, with hundreds in attendance at the ceremony.

NYPD and Suffolk County Police Department officers lined Wellwood Avenue, holding a solumn salute as "Amazing Grace" was played on bagpipes by the NYPD Emerald Society while the hearse pulled up outside of the church.

A large gathering of family members and friends of the fallen officer also line the main thoroughfare, weeping as a flag-drapped casket was carried into the church on the shoulders of Pritchard's NYPD brothers.
