Jimmy Buffett To Host A Hillary Clinton Fundraiser In The Hamptons

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Hillary Clinton won’t be spending much time lounging on a beach chair when she heads to the East End later this month with her husband, Bill.

Politico is reporting that the Clintons won’t be taking time out for a two-week Hamptons vacation, and instead will just be there for a few days that’ll be jam-packed with fundraising events.

As Patch reported, there are several fundraisers already scheduled in the Hamptons.

Now the latest East Ender set to host a Clinton fundraiser in August is Jimmy Buffett, reports Fortune. Earlier this year, on April Fool’s Day, the musician endorsed Clinton’s rival, Donald Trump for President, but it turned out to be an April Fool’s joke, according to Buffettworld.com.

The musician, who lives in a waterfront estate in Sag Harbor, is often spotted around the Hamptons. Most recently he was seen behind the bar at Amagansett’s Stephen Talkhouse during the Coldplay gig on Sunday night.

Buffett isn’t a stranger to the Clintons. Last August when they were in town, the former President joined a celebrity crowd at a party for the film Rock the Kasbah that Buffett hosted at the Blue Parrot restaurant in East Hampton.

A few years earlier, when the Clintons were vacationing in the Hamptons, Bill Clinton turned 64 and Buffett was among the celebrity revelers at his birthday bash. Buffett also has performed at various Democratic fundraisers in the past few years.
