2 Men Charged In Robbery At The Nutty Irishman In Farmingdale: Police

A man stole cash and shoved a bouncer after he was denied entry to the bar over a fake ID, police say.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Two Queens men were arrested in connection with a robbery at The Nutty Irishman in Farmingdale early Sunday, Nassau police said.

Robert Nemtzian, 18 and Edward Nemtzian, 23, entered The Nutty Irishmen, at 323 Main Street, around 1 a.m., police said. While entering the bar, Robert Nemtzian tried to use a forged NYS driver's license but was denied entry by a 52-year-old male employee, police said.

Robert Nemtzian pushed past the employee and grabbed approximately $100 from on top of a cash register, police said. Robert Nemtzian then tried to grab more cash from the hand of the 52-year-old man by pushing him to the ground but was unsuccessful, and both men fled, police said.

Officers found both men a short time later and arrested them, police said. No injuries were reported at the bar, police said.

Robert Nemtzian and Edward Nemtzian were each charged with second-degree robbery, while Robert Nemtzian was also charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. They were set to be arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
