9/11 Services; Farmingdale Football Opener

Here's a look at the week ahead in Farmingdale:

1. Farmingdale Schools are back in session beginning today. Remember to drive safely

2. Wednesday is the 12th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Patch will have coverage all week of local and regional memorial services.

3. On Thursday, Farmingdale High School travels to Plainview JFK for their season opener. The game is scheduled for late afternoon.

4. On Tuesday the Farmingdale Library Cinema presents two showings of "Mud," with with Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon.

5. Friday evening marks Yom Kippur, the solemn Jewish Day of Atonement. Some businesses will close early.
