At the Friday kick-off ceremony at the Farmingdale amusement park the ride was blessed by TV priest Monsignor Jim Vlaun.

Swiss-made FireBall is a "rollerball" coaster, which means it's a fourth-dimension ride, moving side to side as well as along the tracks. FireBall is the fourth of its kind worldwide.

Although the ride drops from 60 feet in the air, Adventureland bills it as a family-friendly ride and kids 42 inches and taller can ride.
