FARMINGDALE, NY — Alibi of Farmingdale won two categories in the 2025 FourLeaf Best of Long Island Awards.
The bar, located at 230 Main Street, won the categories of best whiskey bar and best signature cocktail.
"It is an amazing feeling winning two categories for the Best of Long Island," owner Pete Dragone told Patch. "We put a lot of time into maintaining and putting out a consistent product, cocktails, and service, and it's an honor. These awards make it all worth it."

Alibi is now five for five in winning Best Whiskey Bar on Long Island. While Alibi started out as a speakeasy and has since rebranded to a pop-up bar, the focus on whiskey selection has never wavered, Dragone said.
"When we first opened we had a goal of offering the best selection of spirits around with a focus on different whiskeys," he said. "We have continued to hold ourselves to that standard even with rebranding ourselves as a pop-up bar with creating different specific themed experiences. We enjoy the challenge of creating unique themed cocktails with all types of spirits."

Alibi has had similar success with the Best Signature Cocktail on Long Island category. It has alternated with Spiro's of Rocky Point for three wins in the past five years.
Dragone said it is hard to name just one cocktail that is Alibi's signature.
"We challenge ourselves with each themed event we do by creating specific themed and handcrafted signature cocktails to fit each theme," he said. "I will say there is certainly a flavor for everyone to enjoy as we make sure we hit a variety of different flavor profiles for all palates."
While Alibi focuses on pop-up events, the business has opened during the summer and participated in the Music on Main events in Farmingdale.
"We really enjoy creating different themed experiences for our customers to enjoy and it seems to work," Dragone said. "We found people are always looking for something different, so right now, our plan is to continue to create experiences. We have many different visions, and to be able to make each one come to life is an incredible feeling."
Alibi also hosts private parties all throughout the year, even during pop-ups, Dragone said.
"Any special event, we would love to work with you to create memories that will last forever," he said. "We offer all inclusive packages."
