Block-Bar-Ster Pop Up Coming To Nostalgia In Bethpage
The menus of cocktails, food and snacks will be on the shelves in VHS tape form. Customers can bring the items to check out.
BETHPAGE, NY — Did you love renting movies from Blockbuster when you were younger? If so, this pop up is for you.
The Block-Bar-Ster Pop Up is coming to Nostalgia from Aug. 29 through Oct. 5 at 380 N. Wantagh Ave., Bethpage.
Tickets start at $10 and can be purchased here. Each ticket grants a 90-minute themed experience, featuring themed cocktails, movie theater snacks, and small plate food items available for purchase

"We are so excited to launch this one," Pete Dragone, co-owner of Nostalgia, told Patch. "Nostalgia is all about reliving the 90s, and we thought, 'Hey a Blockbuster-themed pop up bar would be the perfect fit for us.' Nostalgia will be transformed into a Blockbuster video store called Block-Bar-Ster."
The menus of cocktails, food and snacks will be on the shelves in VHS tape form. As someone roams the store, they can pick what they want and bring it to a Nostalgia staff member for checkout.

"This is an interactive experience which will also include special movie trivia on certain days and times!" Dragone said.
