Cops: Man Tried to Steal Donations Boxes at Farmingdale Mosque
The incident occurred early Saturday morning, police say.

Nassau Police seek the public’s help in identifying and locating a man they say attempted to steal two donation boxes from a mosque in Farmingdale on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 4:30 a.m.
Detectives say a man entered the Masjid Bilal Mosque, at 425 Fulton Street, through an unlocked rear window and attempted to remove two donation boxes mounted into a wall.
The man is described as 20-25 years of age, approximately 5’10” tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing dark jeans, a dark hooded jacket and work boots, police say.

The man left the scene through a glass pedestrian door without proceeds, police say.
Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
