Cops: Roslyn Man Used Fake Prescription for Oxycodone

The man was arrested Tuesday for an incident that occurred in October, police say.

A Roslyn man attempted to buy Oxycodone with a fake prescription in Hicksville, authorities said.

Nassau Police say Jason Kang, 30, was at Smith’s Pharmacy, located at 53 N. Broadway, on Oct. 7 and 8. On at least one of those occasions, he tried to fill a prescription for Oxycodone. The pharmacy employee verified the defendant’s identification by his driver’s license, but when the employee realized that the prescription was fraudulent and had been altered, the defendant fled.

Kang surrendered to police on Tuesday at 10 a.m. and was placed under arrest.
