Levittown
- A male suspect remains at large after police say he robbed on Hempstead Turnpike approximately 9:40 a.m. Friday morning. According to detectives, a man entered the bank armed with a black handgun and ordered all customers to lie on the ground. An unknown amount of U.S. currency was placed into a bag and given to the robber, who then fled the scene in an unknown direction. This incident is the second during the past week in Levittown, as the located inside was robbed last Friday. It is unknown at this time whether the two robberies are linked.

- Meihui Gao, of New York, was arrested in Babylon and charged with trademark counterfeiting.
Hicksville
- Nassau County police reported that on Aug. 14, a grand larceny occurred when an iPod and cash were stolen from a car at the Broadway Mall.

- A man was found dead in the street in Huntington Station early Saturday. According to Suffolk County police, officers found Juan Carlos Benitez-Garcia, 31, stabbed and lying on the road near the intersection of New York Avenue in Huntington Station after a call to 911. He was taken to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
