East Farmingdale Waste Facility Catches Fire, Firefighters Respond

Suffolk Arson Squad detectives are investigating the fire's cause.

EAST FARMINGDALE, NY — Firefighters battled flames at Winters Bros. Waste Systems in East Farmingdale on Monday afternoon.

The waste facility, on Nancy Street off Edison Avenue, caught fire around 11:53 a.m., Suffolk police said. Arson is investigating.
