Farmers' Market Returning to Farmingdale
Family business is expanding its outdoor market business to Deer Park.

A Taste of Long Island's second spring-fall farmers' market is about to return to downtown Farmingdale.
Jim and Courtney Thompson, owners of A Taste of Long Island at 211-A Main Street, say the outdoor market will open on Sunday May 12 and appear each Sunday from then until late November. The market is set up in the municipal parking lot east of Main Street.
And this year, the Thompson's farmers' market management, now renamed "Eat Local Long Island," is being expanded to include Saturdays at Tanger Outlets at The Arches in Deer Park. Both provide local growers and small food processing companies to sell their goods.
- The Farmingdale Sunday markets will be held from 10 am - 3 p.m., May 12-Nov. 24.
- The Tanger Outlets Saturday markets will be held from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. from June 1 to Nov. 23.

Both markets will have farm fresh produce, pasta, sauce, artisan bread, spreads, pickles, cookies, spice blends, granola, coffee, pies, scones, chocolates, salad dressings, baked goods, Long Island wine and more.
