Farmingdale Business Owner Forcibly Touched Girl, 15: Police

The man, who owns Halal Urban BItes, inappropriately grabbed a girl he had hired and then tried to pull away from officers, police say.

FARMINGDALE, NY — A man working at Halal Urban Bites was arrested Wednesday after he was accused of forcibly touching a girl he recently hired, Nassau police said.

Ismatullah Kamran, 45, of Hicksville, inappropriately grabbed and forcibly touched a 15-year-old girl at the eatery, located at 533 Fulton St., Farmingdale, police said. The girl immediately notified her parents who contacted police, police said.

Shortly after, officers found Kamran and attempted to place him into custody, but he began resisting by flailing his arms and pulling away from officers, police said. No injuries were reported, police said.

Kamran was charged with forcible touching and resisting arrest. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.

"Detectives request anyone who feels as though they may have been victimized by the defendant to please contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911," the department wrote. "All callers will remain anonymous."
