Farmingdale Crash Injures Man
The 87-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car while trying to cross the street, police say.
FARMINGDALE, NY — A man was injured in a Farmingdale crash on Tuesday evening, Nassau police said.
A pedestrian, 87, was crossing south to north on Fulton Street near Nelson Street when he was struck by a 2008 Mazda traveling west on Fulton Street at 6:25 p.m., police said.
The man suffered serious injuries to his right arm and chest, police said. He was airlifted by Nassau County Police Helicopter 6 to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police told Patch his injuries are not life-threatening.

The driver, a 25-year-old man, was not injured and remained at the scene, police said.
Police are investigating.
