Farmingdale High School Wins LI Class 1 Football Championship

FARMINGDALE, NY — Farmingdale High School won the Long Island Class 1 Championship on Saturday when the Dalers defeated Ward Melville 42-20.

The Dalers finished the season 12-0, capturing their first LI title since 2001. It marks the school's second Long Island football championship.

Farmingdale was the runner-up six times since 2001 before claiming another championship.

The Dalers defeated Massapequa 38-7 in the Nassau Championship on Nov. 19 to set up their Long Island Championship clash with Ward Melville.
