Farmingdale To Host Family-Friendly New Year's Eve Ball Drop
The countdown and ball drop are slated a few hours earlier so children can enjoy the festivities, featuring hot chocolate, music and a fire.
FARMINGDALE, NY — Farmingdale Village's annual family-friendly New Year's Eve Celebration is coming.
The ball is slated to drop at 9 p.m. — a few hours earlier than midnight so children can enjoy the festivities, which are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 31. The fun will be on the Village Green, at 361 Main Street.
The event is free. It will feature a firepit, complimentary hot chocolate, noisemakers, and live music by The Electric Dudes.

People are encouraged to dine and celebrate locally before and after the festivities.
"Thanks to the Farmingdale Business Improvement District, Farmingdale Village Fire Department, Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce, Farmingdale Breakfast Rotary Club, Farmingdale Village Board, and Village Staff!" the village wrote.
